Today I came across a HBR article by Prahalad, concerning this topic of a recent posting in this blog. Research in the area of systemic knowledge supports this idea, i.e. that we shouldn't have to choose between corporate social responsibility and business objectives (similarly it is also nowadays almost beyond question that you could have a product of good quality at a low price).
